Lowering springs

I checked MF but all I could find was with reversed eyes. I believe to use them you have to change the hangers. I want to just bolt in the springs. I will rebuild all of the shackels and bushings. Just do not want to have to reloacate the hangers

I recently purchased a set of rear leaf springs from Speedway. Speedway Motors - Street Rod Parts, Race Parts, Ford Flathead Parts, Sprint and Midget Racing Parts, Pedal Car Parts They are listed to drop the rear by 3 inchs. One end is reverse eye while the other end is standard. These can be mounted without moving the shackels. I plan to rise the front shackel to level the spring and maybe get two more inchs.

I just looked in an 05 catalog of Midfifty page 134, they have a down and forward spring, however it is reversed eye, SMALL BLOCK...2869-FSB...$219

You could give them a call to see if you could get the stock spring with the forward positioning

Are you sure you will have to use different hangers on the front for thr reverse eye. I know if you use the MLO reverse you will have to cut the loop off the second leaf and grind it to clear the reverse end, did you ask MF if you needed modofied hangers.

Jaye, don't have to use different hangers, just have to move the stock ones. I just want to be able to use a spring that will lower the truck a little with out making drastic other changes. I do not want my truck down in the weeds so I am staying with the straight axle on front. I am only looking for about inch and a half or two inches total drop.
