Firewall knockouts...

I know there is the firewall knockout that is where the clutch would normally go and Ive found it on the inside. Only problem is, I cant see where it is on the engine side! I cant really see much passed where the main harness goes through the firewall. Im afraid if I push the knockout through I would be able to find it and put it back in place!

Is there something I need to take out in order to have better access to it?

Thanks!

If you push it out from the inside you will see it in the engine bay. It is behind a harness so it is a little hard to see till you push it through.

How about putting it back in after you push it out? Is that a chore?

Im gonna drill a hole in the knockout and insert a grommet and reuse the knockout.

Nope, it's not bad. I did exactly the same thing and even with my jolly green giant hands it wasn't bad.

It will have foam over it on the inside, just pull that off,and push out the plug. It just pops back in very easy
