95 rear

95 rear

i canged the leafsrping brackets on my bronco and now whenever it rains and is wet when u turn it slams and pops in the rear, any ideas?

So you replaced the mounts AND shackles? I will assume they have been liberally supplied with lubrication at the bushings. Replacing the brackets is a serious ask. Especially since as I recall it, the brackets are riveted in place for the most part so there is no torque spec if bolts replaced them. If this is the case, I'd be checking that everything is still good and tight under there. I'd be doing it WITHOUT the weight of the truck on the rear suspension either.

Did you happen to change the shocks??

My 1979 ranchero did the same thing

replaced the shocks and the sound disappeared

no i replaced all 4 brackets neither of the shackles because they were in good shape, n yes i used bolts (grade 8 as recomended) and they are tight

If the brackets were bad, what about the rest of the hardware? I guess my suggestion is that if the brackets were in that rotten condition, perhaps the other components are bad. They may not have been when the original work was done but now that they are the weaker parts they may have deteriorated.
