help - broken pushrod?
had problems almost a year ago with my 04 excursion, white/grey smoke and rough idle/low power when cold. turned out 3 injectors were bad. last week while driving and warm white/grey smoke and rough idle started again. i assumed one of the other injectors went bad so i parked it and ordered a code checker. finally hooked it up this morning and got P0307 - misfire cyl 7. broke out the tools and started tearing it down to get at that injector. i think i found a broken pushrod at cly 7 while pulling out the injector. it's getting dark so i'm calling it quits till morning when i will investigate further. my questions for all you pros out there:
would a broken pushrod cause the misfire code to come up? also wondering if i can replace one pushrod and put it back together?
