Hello all. New to the site, and this is just what I needed. I am ordering a Superlift 6" kit for my '81 Bronco. I have been reading up on lifts and think this will be the best thing for my truck. I am concerned about using the blocks, and wondering if I should try a kit that has add-a-leaf in conjuction with blocks to cut down on the possible downfalls related to blocks. I know springs would be better, but I can't afford to do that right now, so advice about the blocks would be appreciated. Also, is the front end a nightmare? It doesn't look like it, but everything my friends and I do looks easier than it is. Any advice is great. Thanks in advance.
hey i just lifted my 80 bronco and add a leaf is better but the front end you have to be careful there are two styles in 81 you might havet to put spacers in the drver side drop bracket and you might have to drill new holes for the radius arm brackets it depend if you have the first style like mine or the newer style which the use until 96. but if you got extended radius arms then you will be fine and its the best way to go
I don't know which style I have, but hopefully the drop bracket will fit, if not I'm not afraid to make it work. I went with a block. It's not the best, but for now I hope it will do. I read about using ladder bars to avoid axle wrap, does anyone know if these are something I could fabricate, or should I just buy a kit later?
