I know this has been addressed before here, but does any body know how to change out the headlight on a 95 F-150. Better yet does anybody have a diagram of it, I want to try to get it out without tearing it up. I tried to get the beauty piece off today, but I had no luck. I have no idea where my haynes manual is, my wife put it somewhere and it disappeared. thanks for the help
Not trying to be rude, but I did a search on this forum after I posted my question. I wasn't thinking about it when I wrote that post and I do have the info I need from the search. Thanks
open the hood, unscrew the 2 or 3 screwa that hold the plastic trim and turn signal assembly, pull gently from the bottom, there will be 2 plastic posts with metel springs holding the bottom in that face straight in or 2 plastic taps that face down, in which cas pull the top out a little then lift out and unhook the connections for the trun/marker lights. next look behind the headlamp unhook the wiring harness, now the fun part, there will be 2 diffrent types of conectors, 90 degree locking tab that you twist to lock or unlock, or 3 10mm nuts with studs. the bolt in type are the easyst. undo the tabs or nuts and gently jiggle the lamp whilt pulling straight out...volia! one headlight out.
Hey, I appreciate it but I already got it done and are you sure you're not talking about earlier model trucks. Mine 2 screws up top and 2 nuts in the middle and the assembly came right out. Mine is a 95 model, but thanks anyway and Merry Christmas everybody
