Just to clarify, will this combo work?
I'm new to BBFs and all that jazz, but from what I've been able to find and read up on over the past couple of weeks, the 69 heads, and 70 heads should be identical. I bought a set of heads today for $100. They were running (or he said so) but during removal, a friend broke one of the exhaust valves, so he sold me a set of heads pretty much complete, just missing an exhaust valve. The heads have Crane gold 1.7 ratio roller rockers, and the springs in the box (1 head disassembled) are dual springs, couldn't tell if the ones in the other head were, it's dark in the garage and I'm not lugging that 1 ton chunk of iron back outside. Anywho, the disassembled one is a C9VE-A while the assembled one is a D0VE-A. I doubt there was much difference in the heads between 1 model year, I just want verification from the masters before I take these things down to the machine shop and put money into them.
