265 or 33"

I am trying to decide If I should get 265/75 16 or 33X12.5X15 tires for my 1978 F150 4X4. I have had both on newer trucks. I want to keep it a daily driver. The problem I have with the 33s is in the winter with a few inches of wet snow or slush on the highway the truck was all over the road. 265 seam to cut through the stuff better and go straight. I know I may have to give up some off road with the 265 but the 33s do look better are bigger and cost less. Let me know what you guys think about this.
Thanks!

Have you thought about compromising and getting a 32x11.50? It'll be a little thinner than the 12.50 but still a good size for all purpose use.
