ok I'm being lazy here, but I figured while im eating my dinner and getting warm I'll throw this out there and maybe get some ideas :P
I was out for about 45 minutes today in the snow storm when my check engine light came on, no idea why until a bit later I noticed it was stumbling under load.. I was having to run a gear lower going up hills and had to be pretty easy on the pedal or the engine would shake me to death. I thought it was wheel hop at first, then im like.. wtf im in the snow, with 4x4 on no less...
If I tried to floor it, it would just try to cut out completely.
I switched tanks and that had no effect on the problem.
I'll check the code tommorow.. my luck it will be code 18974 - "your engine sux, plz fix".
Been sick all weekend so havent messed with it. Just went out and check the codes and I got 172 (it seemed to come up twice is that normal?) and my book lists that as 'HEGO shows system always lean'
So yeah kind of a useless code like I figured.. :P
i had that exact same problem, it's your tps, cuts out when the cel comes on? thats the issue when going down the road.. if it stumbles when leaving a light, its the IAC. if its both symptoms, its both parts, especially if they've never been changed.
