BTS Tranny

Hey guys,
I emailed Brian at Brians Truck Stop regarding some pricing and info on one of their transmissions back on 11.27.08 and have yet to hear from them.
Have you folks had any experience with communicating with them about transmissions?
I am trying to gather info before the 11th hour and am stuck out in the boonies with no access to a real transmission shop.
Has anyone used one of their trannies?

Thanks,

I have a BTS.

I have never emailed them. I always called on the phone. Never had any issues getting in touch with them.

Love the transmission.

Have you tried calling?

I emailed Brian over a month ago he never returned the Email. The way I understand it is he is super busy and you need to call him, I guess when you have his reputation I could see why.

I was at his place. No less than 5 stickys at any time throughout the day. He takes a break from work and tries to get thru them. Back to work again. IIRC, it is $4100 plus shipping. What else did you want to know?

You would be correct, unless he raised the price again.

I plan to get a BTS trans. I have the BTS-VB right now, and have no problems with the trans. I am thinking I may have to do the whole trans soon. If I do I will be going to AR for my trans.

BTS may be a little tough to get in touch with, but I can assure you that it's well worth the effort. I know it's frustrating, but you will not be disappointed.

Lots of people on the forums with a BTS trans, and I don't know that you'll find a single person who is disappointed with it.

I've got one behind my Cummins, and you couldn't even give me a different trans to run.

I just got back yesterday from my 900 mile each way (WV to AR) to have my tranny done this past monday, he is so busy during the day he never gets time to even look at a computer. If he is not building a tranny, hes on the phone with someone or telling people what work needs to be done. The best way is to call if you want to get any info, he must have stopped over 2 dozen times to take phone calls while building my tranny. the price is $4100 for the tranny with converter + shipping and core charge, and by all means it is WELL worth it and if you can I suggest taking it to hime to get it done so he can tune it to the truck right there. hes got one hell of a setup downthere and a great crew too, he even took me and my dad out to lunch while we were there. when we tore my tranny apart he said I was lucky to even have made it there, all my forward clutches were burnt, the low and reverse clutches had nothing left of them and my converter was doing south. feels like I put another chip in the truck again because it is so much more solid.

Call him early in the AM. If he don't answer, his wife Patti will get it touch with you. Like the others have said, well worth every cent.

I think it was a recent thing. In any case, WGAS? It is the last trans you are paying for. The only difference between being in warranty and out is who pays for shipping. Inside warranty, he pays. Outside, you pay at his discounted rate. Either way, the repair is free. You don't have to deal with stages either. One trans for all needs. The only difference is how it is tuned.

I spoke with Brian about this very subject over a year ago. He said he much prefers a phone call to an e-mail.. He said that emails take too much time going back and forth when you can do that on a phone all at one time. I said I would have figured that he would prefer email instead of being interrupted while working. He said that it wasn't an issue. Customers are his business. His son works there too, and he is the one who set up my Valve body for me(on the phone anyway). He seemed very knowledgeable as well.
