302 HO question

I am building an engine for my 78 ford truck and I have a question,can I bolt the timming chain cover of the 1978 302 to the HO 302 and the cam ecentric so I can use a mechanical pump?thanks in advance for any information.

U should be able to bolt it on but u have to use a older waterpump and pullies. U may be able to use the serp belt but the serp belt water pump turns opposite of the v pully one

I plan on useing my old style water pump and all my trucks v-belt accessories on the engine,it will look fairly stock in the old truck,with the aception of the intake,carb and headers.
