engine swap???
i got a 66 f100 4x4 with a 352 FE np 435 and a dana 21 t case.
i like the setup just fine. but my engine has some major problems and i just came across a 460 and a 4 speed bellhousing...
how hard would it be and what would i need to drop this engine in my truck?

Dropping a truck 460/C6 automatic is relatively straight forward IF you use the original truck 460 engine perches. They position the drivetrain correctly so that the transmission crossmember stays in the same place on the '66.
The questions I see, at least initially that you need to answer for this are:
1. Hydraulic or mechanical clutch bellhousing for the 460? If hydraulic, you have some engineering to do.
2. Depth of the bellhousing? This relates to input shaft length on your NP435.
3. Clutch disc and pressure plate match to the NP435?
4. Will the original perches position the engine and bellhousing correctly for the NP435 to stay in the exact same position?
5. Will the Dana 21 allow you to really enjoy the 460's power?
