Stonger Power Steering
Thanks for the A/C help previously but now I want to know more about the power steering setup in the '99 F-250. My dad, though a big guy, knows he's getting up there in age and is starting to find it more and more difficult to get the wheels pointed in the right direction when not moving. I found a new pump from AGR that might take care of that problem. But he wants me to find some simpler routes before investing in that. Is there something else that can be done like allowing more pressure to the system or maybe a different size pulley to get the pump spinning faster.
Oh as a side note, has anyone ever had a problem with the truck moving to the left when braking? I drove it today and it was doing that, but from what I saw the pads still have plenty of meat, and the rotor is not scored in any way.
Oh, that pulling to the left is a problem. Did you know the same system that powers the steering powers the brakes? I believe I would be looking real close at the brakes. Especially the right side.
Others can chime in but I am bumping you to the top.
Good luck.
