Vibration
I have a 1990 F150 Ext.Cab short box that I recently purchased.My problem is that between the speeds of 35 and 45 mph., there is substantial vibration coming from the rear of the vehicle. After 45 mph. the vibration subsides dramatically.
Anyone out there with some pointers?

if you let off the gas does it make a difference? any lift on the truck?

Check the U-joints first, especially at the rear. If you have a slip joint (2 piece propshaft) check that for slop in the splines. Mine lets me know it's time for the rear most joint when it starts it's "hopping" thing at these speeds (40-45 mostly)! Only other place I can think to tell you to check would be where the shaft exits the tranny or transfer case, sometimes the output bearing gets a little loose and can cause this also by allowing the shaft to wobble just a bit.
