If an Excursion came from the factory with dual exhaust then it would have 2 catilyic converters. It would be easy to look at the exhaust and see how many are there.

2 pipes out the back doesn't mean that it's dual exhaust. Very few vehicles have true dual exhaust. Even when it is aftermarket, it's usually just two pipes coming out of one muffler. Pointless if you ask me.
My guess is that since the OP thinks it is the factory exhaust, it could even just be a Y split after the factory muffler goin to the 2 pipes.
