Engine Drain Valve on a 302

As I dont want to go lay in the snow as its a nice 3 degrees out right now, I am going to ask did Ford put engine coolant drain valves on these trucks? I ask because I am going to install a coolant heater and i'd rather go into through that way then splice the lower radiator hose. I know on my chebby suburban its on the passenger side, is it in the same place on the 302 ? or is there even one on a 302?

if you mean a drain for the coolant, there should be a petcock on the bottom of the radiator.near the bottom rad hose. my block heater is in a frost plug hole in the engine block. they have inline heaters that can be installed inline on the heater hose.

There is a block drain on both sides of the engine, but the passenger side might be hidden by the starter. They are probably 1/4 NPT threads.

The drain plug on the passenger side is at the front of the block, not obstructed by the starter.

If you can get both plugs out, replace them with drain ***** to make it easier next time.
