ttb question

until what year did the rangers come with the ttb? will the ttb handle more abuse?

1997 was the last year for the ttb front suspension on the Ranger. The ttb design might be more rugged and able to hold alignment longer than the current design, but then again it depends on who you talk to and what situations they're used in.

'98 and up uses power rack and pinion also, not nearly as durable. costly to fix when it breaks also.

do they still use a dana 28?

Dana 35's as of around '90. ~'89 both & mix-match of housings/ guts. After that, Dana 35 to the best of my knowledge. My 1990 had Dana 35 all the way with Ford 8.8 in back. Pull the drain plug & shine a light in there. If I remember correctly, you'll see the burly ring gear for 35. Bearing for 28. That test is for the Dana 35 housing.
