I saw an 98-99(?) F-150 the other day w/ a nice set of 265/75R16's (about 31"tall) on it . They seemed to be a real nice fit and looked really good. I believe you could probably go as high as a 32" tire but that might start to rub under compression or turning.

72 F-100 4x4. fresh 390 4bbl, NP435 tranny, spooled rear, 2"skyjacker springs front, 2" custom shackle flip rear, "mild" fender trim, 35x15.50 TSL/SX tires.
