ft-lbs of force at 100mph
So i read yet another excursion review where they say "I don't even want to imagine the foot pounds of energy at 100 mph" so I got curious. If I did my conversions correctly my 7190 lb 4X4 V10 excursion (without my 260 lb self at the wheel) produces 2,408,647 ft/lbs of energy at 100mph. or 53,525 lbs per sq ft of excursion (front of our ex is 45 square feet) or 372 PSI respectively. You can squash a REALLY big bug at that kinda speeds!
Basically, in a high speed crash you will create an absolutely ridiculous amount of damage, so leave a lil extra room, and maybe slow down a lil. Just a lil advice form your bored fellow forum member at 3am.
