Hey guys I need your advice again .Its 30 bolow and my truck won't even turn over. The batteries are good and the starter is new worked fine yeesterday.Ihad this same thing happen last year in the extreme cold and as soon as it warmed up to minus 15 (and that is celcius) it was normal starting , and yes it is plugged in. Thanks guys.
Check you connections on your batteries. What are you seeing for volts once you turn the key and the gp's kick on? If possible wait till the gp's have cycled and your volts turn back up.
Switching to a lighter oil will help the engine turn over because that 15-40 turns into molases when it gets that cold.
Another area to look is your starter. Older starters don't turn over as fast because the brushes get worn, which they will eventually fail.
