Engine/Valve Flutter??

Engine/Valve Flutter??
I've noticed while cruising around town that when i let off the throttle and coast (like to a stopsign or something) i hear what kind of sounds like a flutter from the engine. sounds like the valves fluttering or something. not a really loud noise and it quits when i get back on the throttle. over the years of owning an old 7.3 with 200k+ miles, i'm used to listening for noises so this may be something odd or completely normal. thoughts??

is it like a huffing or gruff sounding, it could be a turbo fart if you are letting off the speed peddle suddenly and it starts huffing through the air intake, the turbo vains usually do this when they start sticking from rust on them or carbon build on them usually from lack of driving the truck or not running the truck 1-2 a week hard to keep clean the turbo charger.

eh...i'm pretty sure it's not turbo. it's nothing like pushing boost back out the intake...plus i'm not unloading the throttle fast, just letting off of it normally. it sounds very mechanical, like its the injectors or valves. it only happens when there is no load on the engine like when i'm coasting to a stop or something.
