aod blues
i have a aod in my 85 f-150.. it has an 89 5.0 h.o the matcing aod , 2000stall
and 3.73 gears with e303 cam .. the trans has hd 2.3 accumulator the one wit the four sealing rings on it . andit also has the letter "A" od servo and the superior aodhp shift kit . the 1-2 shift isnt as firmas id like for it to be it feels near normal .. i wantitto have that 1-2 bump doesnt have to chirp the tires just a clean 1-2 .. i didnt want to set the line pressure to high because iknow witha shift kit an aod can snap the input shaft if its shifting to hard with excessive line pressure .i tied to set it with a line pressure gauge in drive at 30psi witha 5/16 drill pit inbetween the tv lincage and idle stop as directed then i even tried 34 psi .... any suggestions .. i read somwhere that 30-40 psi could be acceptible but i dint want it so hi that it would continuously down shift as u go into the gas .please all help appreciated .. it now goes into od at 42.. whenit was set at 30 it went into od at 38-40mph ..but without using a gauge i used tost my other cars to goin into od at 45-50.. help please .
