Overhead compass

The Compass went out the other day is it the same as the f-250 were a solder joint breaks or is the other problems with this . There is power up there just no heading and no temp.

Compass And Temp Light

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY SUPERCREW (WITH MOONROOF) I THINK IT IS PROBABLY A LOOSE SOLDER JOINT BUT I DONT KNOW HOW TO GET THE ASSEMBLY LOOSE FROM THE OVERHEAD SINCE IT IS MADE OF PLASTIC

my compass works, but every once in awile the temp is way way off....anyone elses temp way off?

My temp is usually off until you get running down the road a bit. I think it picks up the temp inside the engine compartment, so if you aren't travelling it will read hotter - or maybe colder in the winter.

I was getting some new seats out of a 99 Club Cab at a local salvage yard,Decided to get some other interior accessories while I was there,the compass unit popped off with a pry of the screwdriver on each side.Once I got it off,I realized it wouldnt work in my situation,so Just popped it back up there.
I suspect it would be the same in your situation....carefully pry on the R/H side between the plastic housing,and headliner,and then the L/H side...If im correct it will just pop off......If you need help concerning the soldering I can likely help....
