spring re-arcing

What are your opinions on spring rearcing as opposed to replacing them with new ones. I have a 79 150 and i plan on replacing the rear springs or rearcing them.

Well, if they're real tired, you should at least replace all leaves but the main one.

If they aren't too bad and you just want around 3 inches of lift, rearch the pack and then add a leaf.

I rearced the fronts of my f250 without adding anything and it didn't last too long.

How's that sound?

I just went through this on my 79 F-150 4x4. A local spring shop wanted over $300 to re-arch the rears. I bought NEW ones from ESPO springs and things < ESPO.com > and even with shipping they were much cheaper. They ran $210.00. I'd sure recommend them to anyone. Rear springs for my 63 Galaxie were $180. For that price, I'd rather have the UPS guy drag em around then me. Thier catalog is online if ya want to take a look. Good luck, Phil ( 64 F-150 4x4 )
