I have a basic open 16' car trailer with the basic square lights. I need to know what bulbs are used in these lights. Right now I have 1157 (2 filament bulbs) that I can not seem to get to stay/locked into the correct position. I think I need another type of bulb where the prongs on the metal base are more in line with each onther rather than offset like on the 1157 bulb.
I'm asking you guys so I can save myself a trip to the trailer store tomorrow in the am. I would like to eventually switch to LED lights but I just had a new light installed about 2 months ago
Thanks for the help
If the pin receptacles on your sockets are opposite each other, I'm not sure how a dual-filament bulb would work with them (could be installed 180* out). What bulb did the new light call for? Personally, I'd spring for LEDs and eliminate any ScotchLocks at the same time.
All trailer light I have dealt with take 1157 bulbs
You don't have to spend big money on LEDs to have good lights,I just converted all my buld lights to the sealed lights at a fraction of the cost of LEDs and have no more bulbs or problems
You can buy them in round or oval and convert to LEDs later if you want

We must have the same trailer.
For the first couple of months Id take off the lens and wiggle things around and get them working ........for about 5 miles.
Ive got one out again now and ts been that way for a month.
Im going to try and do something else.
