I have been eye balling the new Chevy's for awhile and ended up making the jump today. My F-250 had 132,000 miles on the clock. It was running fine but I kind of wanted the peace of mind of a warranty. The deal was to good to pass up. I bought a new 2007 2500 HD. The truck only has 85 miles on it. Since it was an 07 they were ready to deal. The window sticker was $25,500. They sold the truck for $11,500. I really wanted 4WD but I never use it. I buy the 4WD for looks more than use. The truck is 2WD but it sit's higher than my 250. The only bad part is the tires are 245's, yuk! It has the 6.0L with a six speed tranny auto that can be used as a manual also. 3.73 gears and a 9,200 GVWR which is more than my 250. Now the funny part. I went and did the deal this morning. I told the dealer I needed to take care of some things and clean out my truck and I would come in later to pick up the new truck. I went down to Friends tow yard and we tore her down. I took out the 08 console and sold it to him for his 99 PSD. We took of the headlights and marker lights and switched it for the nasty 99 one's. His son has a 99 PSD also. His truck had a ding in the front bumper so we swapped bumpers and he ended up getting the factory fog lights also. I snatched my tool box, fifth wheel hitch and brake controller out while I was at it. Went back to the dealership they drove it around back and never said a word.
P.S. They had a truck identical to my new one with the duramax and 4WD. Sticker was $41,000. They were letting it go for $24000. EDITTED by MODERATOR - you have been infracted for trying to sell items in open forum

After hearing what you pulled on the dealer that you had a deal for a trade-in I would not buy anything from you. You will be lucky if the dealer doesn't try to press charges on you. You do realise that you are admitting to an act of theft on this forum I hope. The fact that you are on the job really makes it all the worse. Didn't you buy the truck with the toolbox? Have a good life and remember what goes around comes around. With an attitude like yours I'm glad that you will be going to the chevy forums as you have no need to remain here. Good riddance.
I have to agree with shorebird. How would you feel or more importantly, what would you do if the dealer did that to you? You guys agreed on a trade in value based on what the truck was, mileage, condition, and how it was equipped. Then you decided to remove already agreed on equipment and swapped O.E. (for it's year) parts for lesser parts. It's definatly shady and absolutely fraudulent. I couldn't do that.
And yes, thanks for sharing your fraudulent activity with the entire internet .

Is this an April Fool's joke type deal?
I need some of that yeller salt...you know the kind they have at the picture show...
Although I do not condone this type of behavior, the chevy dealer should have taken an inventory on the truck-did they? Also you really should have taken off the parts you wanted before trading in the truck, you basically pulled the old"bait and switch"on the dealer-shame on you.I don't understand why they let you leave with the Ford after the deal was made.Times are tough for the automakers, and they probably would have taken a rollin chassis for a trade in,but what you did is downright criminal!!!
Bottom line-you traded in a Ford
Bought a chevy
The only time I was able to take aftermarket upgrades off a truck was after I asked them how much they were going to give me for trade with everything on and then how much for everything off, price was the same, but I'm only talking about chip, intake and sterio.
I went from a Duracrap to my beloved Powerstroke!!
I did that when I traded for my 08, but with the dealers permission and since I was selling and buying ford they said no problem
I do understand the issue of getting a newer truck with warranty but since I have owned GM before this is not the best choice if you use the truck as intended.
You traded a ford F250 4x4 for a chevy 4x2????And you tried to pull the wool over the eyes of the dealer that will service it!Ohhh man you are going to pay for that one.
