Gut the Cat

Can someone tell me how to gut my cat while still in place? I removed the muffler and I think i'd like to finish off the kitty without cutting it off. someone said something about putting rebar in there and beating it out but i'm too stupid to know if that was a joke or not

I just unbolted my cat and used a steel rod and a sledge hammer and hollowed it out. Id of loved to sell the thing but I didnt want anyone to know that I dont have a cat so I just hollowed it out and welded in a piece of 3.5 pipe in place of the muffler sounds great!

You are better off removing the CAT and save it rather then destroy it. Just replacing it with a delete pipe or something of the sort. CAT's are expensive to buy should you ever find that you need it, i.e. selling the truck or warranty work...

But yea, you can gut a CAT with any sort of steel rod and a hammer. I would not do it while on the truck though. You need to be able to break up the ceramic and dump it out...
