will it work

I have a 93 xlt with a 7.3. with a blown head gasket. This motor has about 277000 miles on it and if its not repairable will an older 6.9 drop in without any problems ie. trans bolt pattern or any other differences.

Are you sure it's a '93 with a 7.3? Weren't they only from 1994.5 and later?

use the accessories from the 6.9.
and if it's a manual I recommend using the 6.9 flywheel.

btw. many consider the 6.9 to be superior to the 7.3.
