I spent some time wondering around Purolator's site trying to find that information. Found that the L30001 is the direct replacement for the Motorcraft FL1A...and the Fram PH8A...but not the micron rating. Searched Google and came up with an Amazon add where someone claimed the PL10241 has a 2 micron rating...though that isn't a direct replacement of the FL1A. The search continues on....
Ford does not make technical data on their oil filters available at the current time. 2-3 years ago Ford posted that their filters were generally 80% efficient at 20 microns on the Motorcraft.com site and in product brochures available in dealership part departments. They did not reference individual models like the FL1A. But those tech specs are no longer listed in either location.
The only manufacturer I've seen who listed micron data for all of their filters is Wix. The Wix 51515 filter cross references to the FL1A and carries a Beta Ratio of 2/20=13/23, which means it is 50% efficient at removing 13 micron particles and 95% efficient at 23 microns. Whether or not that is anywhere close to what a Motorcraft FL1A filter does is anyones guess.
The notion that a Motorcraft filter contains the same filter media as a Purolator PureOne oil filter is an internet myth (IMHO), and never proven to be true. Highly unlikely.

I never subscribed to the theory that a Pulator PureOne and Motorcraft were/are the same thing. Now I vaguely remember Fram & Motorcraft filters being the same thing. But I degress, anyway thank you for passing along that information on the FL1A micron ratings. I was hoping the rating was down around 5-10 micron...but I think only fuel filters are that low.
Here is a some what dated, but none the less interesting, % filtration test, with various particle sizes, run until the filters clog & go into bypass, done some years ago on various filters, Motorcraft & PureOne included. Oil filter test results!
