Narrowing driveline vibration down

Thanks for revising the thread. I am still fighting the vibes. The new V codes and rear 350 blocks made the ride much better and looks awesome. I have tried indexing the driveshaft all over the place. It changes the vibration somewhat but it is still brutal. I went through everything again (even considering a new $400 shaft from Ford). But, I may be onto something. The rear bearing in the transfer case has up and down and in and out movement. That may be the source. Ford wants $40 or so for the bearing and hopefully it is easy to change. If it doesnt fix it, I am buying a driveshaft. I was going to try a 30,000 mile driveshaft out of an 05 F250 but it is too long. That shaft had a big balancing ring on the pinion side and the slip shaft had more play than mine. Hope to get to the bearing this week. Any input on changing the bearing?
