Amp Question

I have a heater for the cap of my truck that plugs into my 12v outlet it draws 13 amps. I bought a 1 amp 12 volt battery charger. If I leave the heatergoing with the charber on overnight will my battery go dead.

Most likely yes. It really depends on how long overnight is. 4-6 hours a good battery might handle, but 10-16 hours, I wouldn't count on a good battery to handle. The battery is really in place to start the motor, once running the alternator handles the electrical requirements. Try getting closer to 10amp charger or since you have the trucked plugged in anyway, use a 110v heater.
