97 brake upgrade
My 97 4x4 4.6 scab f150 just ticked over to 222,222 miles the other day and I just bought shocks and now I'm wanting to upgrade the brakes... I have 285x70 on 17" rims on the truck
in the last 55,000 miles I have worn out 2 sets of rotors doing just regular driving... I start to feel the shutter and loss of performance and no where will turn them... they all tell me the cheap ford brakes are too thin to turn... I feel like the stopping performance on this truck is weaaaaaaak from the get go...
Are there any all included kits to boost brake performance? ie... rotors/calipers/pads all included?
I have never done anything more than replace the pads but I am confident enough to tackle the job of replacing whatever I need to (I have backup from family & friends if I need it)...
What part / parts can ya'll recommend to help slow my beast down quicker and more confidently??
Please link me to some upgraded parts... Cost is a factor I would like to keep the entire deal below 500 if possible

Have a look at motorhaven, applied rotor technology, jeggs, summit racing, rockauto all in the list of site sponsors. I would think any of them would be able to supply what you want. Sounds a nice project, good luck with it.
