Does anyone run these tires? How are they? i was looking at the 36x15.5 r15. Nice looking tires, just dont know how they perform. Thanks for any input.
I don't know much about there tread or traction, but Cooper the parent company and manufacture of Dick Cepek, just recalled most of there light truck tires because of seperation issues. Be carefull to make sure you get a good set.
i look for performance offroad, its my daily driver, so how good they wear on-road, and looks is always a big plus...these tire look awesome and the reviews seem to be mostly positive.
I just bought a set of Interco Truxus Mud Terrain for my daily F-350 that gets worked hard and needs good offroad traction for my regular adventures and ocasional off-road weekends in the hills. In my shopping I was vary limited in choice if I did not want to by wheels cause I have 16.5" wheels and it's becoming an orphan size. I got these cause they have an agressive enough tread are quiet enough, have good road manners, are good in the rain (I live in Seattle) and are a 10 ply load rating E with a 3970lbs load rating.
With 15" wheels you have alot more choice and these look like they will fit your needs well if the price is right. Just make sure you get some that were made recently, the date is cast in the sidewall.
Edit, at $285 a pop here http://www.tirepackage.com/Tires/Dic..._pn=M%2fT26553 the price seems a little high but not that bad, but the load rating of 3000 on this size seams low, I don't know how much your going to load this truck but it is a Ford truck.
When shopping I found the best deal for me was these tire package guys cause the price was good and I could just pick them up at my local 4WheelParts store and not pay shipping.
One more thing, these days I am recomending a product called Dyna Beads. They are a bunch of ceramic beads that you put inside the tire to self balance them. I love these things I run 37" Intercos (swampers) that are notorious for being hard to balance, without any wheel weights and they are perfectly smooth on the highway. I have heard all kinds of stories about tires lasting 50% longer with these things and I guess I will find out.
