poly bushings question
ok, I installed energy suspension poly bushings (black ones) on my truck. I installed the front and rear sway bar and replaced the drop links with new ones from ford. So I forgot to use the greese they supplied that goes on the bushings. I do have a squeak going over bumps. The truck is good now except for the annoying squeak. SO if I remove the brackets and put the greese on will that stop the squeak from the bumps? I just wanted to find out if its even worth the effort or not. Also I did get my old drop links pressed out with a 100 ton press and plan on putting in the poly bushings in the old ones as well. Thanks for your help... Jeff

First you need to know if it is the new bushings that are squeaking. Try spraying some WD-40 on the bushing and if the noise goes away then pull it back apart and grease them, if the noise is still there you will have to track down the offending noise. The black bushings from ES are impregnated with graphite and might not be your squeak. Another thing I do with poly bushing is cut a grove inside the bushing with something like a dremel tool then it will hold more grease so you dont end up with a early squeak. Hope this helps.
