Courtesy light switch
Does anyone know which wires to put a momentary switch in to make the parking lights flash off (courtesy flash) like the big rigs? I want the parking/marker lights to go off when I push the switch and come back on when I let off the switch, all without disturbing the headlights/fog lights. BTW I have an 04 F-350.

I'm looking at an '05 schematic, but I think it will be the same on an '04. Not positive.
The wire color is brown, and it goes to tail markers, overhead clearance lights, mirror markers, everything. You will have to find the segment you want to interrupt. If you want to interrupt all of them, then the brown wire originates from the VSM on under the left side of the dash.

I have no idea if this will be correct for an '03 - '04. I'm reasonably sure the wire color will be brown on all of them back to at least '99. But the way the VSM is wired in, and particulalry the VSM location, may well be different.
