connector removal
A while back I posted a topic about the 03 in dash nav system. I am now going to remove the unit and send it for repair. I am not about to pay the 2000 dollars that ford wants for it. I have removed the dash trim(2 9/32 hex drives) and the 2 9/32 hex drives on the unit. The unit easily slides out and all the connectors easily come off but one. It is the one that is black and white with four wires coming out of it. Is there some tool that removes this connector or am I not doing something right? I have pushed on the tab on the top of it and pulled with a lot of force but this connector is determined to stay in. Any ideas people? Again if anyone knows why my screen is all lines please let me know. Just the other day it came back while I was driving and showed the display as normal. When I returned to the truck a few hours later it was all lines again.
