You probably want a tire that will wear well on the road. Thornbirds wear pretty well on the road but make lots of noise. They are not very good mud tires though, because of the tight tread blocks. Swampers are great mud tires but tend to wear out faster on the road. The BFG muds are a good tire all around. They wear pretty good on the road and work fairly well in the mud. I wouldn't buy the BFG's though, Continental (formerly General Tire) has mud terains that have almost the same tread pattern for much less money.

I had 32x11.5's and they rubbed the frame. Any taller would have hit the bumper. Swampers wear really fast. I do alot of road drivin' and wheelin'. Currently I drive Explorer Pro-comp M/T's and love 'em. They wear great (have a 50,000 mile warranty) and provide great traction in all types of terrain. BFG, Goodyear and the other big name brands are expensive, and do the same job. They look great too. 4wheelparts.com has them on sale right now, I would say 32x10.5 or 11.5. Taller will drasticly limit any articulation, any wider will rub really bad. Hope this helps.

I just put my BFG 33x10.5x15's on this weekend. No probelms, no rubbing.I have a '95 4x4 with a 3" body lift. They look great!! I would go with the 33s.

Thornbird's tend to tear up more than they do. they shake so much on the road that it will cause your intereior to practically fall apart. and they arent all that good off road either, i think that they are more of a show tire. I woulf look a some good Baja's if i were u
