disc brakes

as mentioned i have a51 merc iwant to have my front hubs machined to a ford car bolt pattern for my mags not atruck big stud pattern does any one know what disc rotors i could use i was thinking maybe afull size crown vic or grang marquis possible newer mustang rotors and calipers any ideas would greatly be appreciated yours dj

i would check to see if anyone offers a kit to convert it to disc brakes. by the time you add up machining, refurbishing and cobbleing together a bunch of mis matched parts and try to get them to work, a kit if offered would end up being a lot cheaper and easier to do.

someone will probably chime in if a kit is offered as these were pretty popular years of trucks. check with some of the major online vendoers like LMC, Dennis Carpenter, etc as they might offer a kit for this year truck.

old major thanks for the info your prabably right akit would be the way to go thanks for the link kit looks good just have to add brake lines dj

mcdonaldm thanks for your info i live in ontario can and im close to milton ont for access to hortonshot rods and they deal in brake kits i must go visit keep you guys posted yours dj

Hortons has there catalogue on line and you can see the kits. I got my MII kit from them.I am in Guelph so they are handy,only 30mins to them and 30mins to Pros Pick. To bad my bank balance keeps me from visiting more often.Where are you located?

reg 1952 iwill go on line for hortons catalogue thanks i am in st catherines just south of the welland canal about 45 minutes from milton and about an hour from you
