You could try this sorry i don't have pics but here's what you need.
Get a can of acetone, which will dissolve anything by the way so be careful, and douse some cotton swabs with it. real carefully strart to take the paint off. it will take some time but to make them look nice and tidy you have to be tedious. the emblems will have a crhome finish then and they are rather sharp.
yes make sure that you tape around them and just in case cover beneath it with newspaper or something to absorb if it runs off, use q-tips to get in the crevice around the emblem. 04+ badges, i've seen that done. my brother did that on his 99' stroker because he converted the exterior to an 05 if you want to see it his username on here is john311t i believe. the only problem is that if you do this all around the emblems are different sizes and you'll see the shadow from the old emblems.
Clay bar the paint before you install the new badges. I have a white truck and there was no residue left after cleaning thoroughly. I think I also used goo gone or some such thing to get the adhesive all the way off.
I think i figured something out, i think im gonna put some 09 fender emblems on my truck i think they have this slicked back look to them and they look awsome so if i do this i wil sure post some pics along with some other mods i have said i will share my pics of thanks for all of your ideas and suggestions!!!!
