Filter under Back Door???

Hello, just wondering if anyone knows what the filter under neath the top part of the back door might be for? And should we change the filter?

Just looked at the upper rear door at the top center, I think this is what your talking about. Its actually not a filter just a rubber flap that goes over the h ole to keep water/dust/junk out. If its what I think it is its a pressure relief for the cabin, most cars have one somewhere, my camaro is on the drivers side in the hatch area for example. This is used for when you slam the doors shut in the truck the built up pressure has somewhere to go, otherwise with how well new cars are seled your ears would pop possibly, or youd get some pressure on your head that might be unpleasnt for a half a second. Also helps with the wind buffeting when you only have certain windows open I'm told but cant confirm nor deny that part.

THanks for the reply. OK, so that was such a stupid question. My husband should have known that! Thanks again!
