97 4x4-OFF-ROAD-PKg
I have a 97 F150 4x4 ext-cab. It came with 16" wheels but not the off-road pkg. A bought a set of factory 17" wheels w/265-70-17 wild country tires. I thought this would raise me up as high as the off-road pkg trucks but I am still lower. I know the pkg comes with h/d shocks, skid plates and decals so what do I need to do to sit as high w/o a lift or bigger wheels & tires? Any advice would be great.

I own a 98 F-150 reg cab flare side with the off road package. I know it has aftermarcket shocks that give it some lift. I put on 32x11.50R17 TSL Super Swampers and they just fit perfect. I am waiting for the $$ to come down on a 4-5 inch lift before I do any height adjustment. A Detroit Locker is the next best thing for 4 wheelin' but if you want the look without the cost, try a body lift. Should run you about 400 installed...
