5.0 questions

i have a good low milage 5.0 ho engine out of a 91 mustang and i would like to know what the specs of my cam in my 95 f150 5.0 i am going to use the ho cam and am just looking for the differance between the two. i am also installing a set of flowtec shorty headers and am going to redo the entire exhaust. I just installed a dyno at work and ran the truck. it made 142hp and 237lbs of torq. i am also going to try a mustang 5.0 lower intake and a 351w truck upper they look like they will bolt up and will be less of a headache to install over the whole 5.0 car setup. i am trying to improve runner velocity and low end power. i am concerned that the truck 5.0 intake is just to big on the runner side but i want the truck to look stock under the hood and be reliable.

The truck cam produces 0.422/0.448" lift and 256/266 deg duration at the valve with stock 1.6 rockers. The HO cam produces 0.444/0.444" lift and 266/266 duration with the same rockers. You probably know already but longtubes produce more gains at low rpms than shorties.

shorties are a waste of time don't even bother with them unless you want to have a mall cruiser

don't throw out that 5.0 truck lower intake they are used to bolt superchargers on (at least the guy i sold mine to did that)

headers

the headers are just hanging on the garage wall taking up space. i do a lot of work on mustangs and will eventually find a use for the 5.0 intake.

thanks for the advise
