Reverse Sensors Not Sensing
I think it is the switch, however, the switch is reset everytime you shift out of reverse. The problem is I don't have a pin out for the switch. I think it has a built in relay because of the way it works and the number of pins. My Chiltons wiring diagrams don't even mention the reverse sensors. Does someone have the diagrams and some technical details so I can trouble shoot the problem? I can't imagine the switch costing much, but I don't want to start shotgunning this circuit.

Mine would go to off automatically everytime I shifted into reverse, sometimes it would cycle on for a split second before going off again(not working). It was a bad sensor which for me was the rear passenger side one, replaced and works great now. The previous owner had the switch replaced thinking that was the problem but it was not. I found the bad sensor via a neighbor who had an OTC code scanner that could read the reverse sensor system. I would suggest finding someone with a scanner and save alot of time trouble shooting. Hope that helps.
