Up in the frame rail just outside the drivers side door. Open the drain on the fuel bowl first and see if any leaks out, you can do that without even removing the cover I hope.
Ive put fuel conditioner in it.

Wheres the fuel pump switch? On the passengers side kick panel?
On my 95 the fuel pump is in the engine valley?

If the batteries are not new ,you may need to check the fuel cut off switch ,,see if it popped ....
I've not heard of this happening, it does? Are you at the truck yet? Check for fuel in the bowl before you do anything else. You'd think your wife could get out and look helpless enough to at least get free help to the shoulder of the road.
