i bought it and it had no lights in it or anything.
so no i got a battery and its running, replaced lights with new ones heres what works....
rear parking lights... and one brake, not reverse lights,
and when i brake the inside signal indicators light up.
and neither the front nor back signals work.
This,
__harness thing got started by person challenging me to craft one to resemble one as close to an OEM as possible.
Took-up the challange & came out with one that resembled one real close. Even used NOS reverse sockets, those where costly.
In the end I came out feeling pretty good, but ended uup selling it for less what I perchased parts for. But I still have the jigg I used to craft it. So at least I can make more. Hopefully, more would like one for a fair price.
Now let me clear about this...I'm not looking to buy or endorse a classified ad...just a question:
crazedfox that harness looks pretty decent, I'm just wondering about how much it cost you to make that. I know when I had to rebuild the entire harness in my Bronco from scratch, it cost me about $100 and two weekends. I also know that Mr. Tail light makes the exact same haness you posted for about $80. Just wondering what it cost you as a price comparison.
Whoa,
__whole harness. that's some work indeed.
As for price, sorry due to reg's I can't discuss it here.
You'll have to E-mail me directly.
P.S. have you taken a good look at Mr.Tailight's harness?
All I have to say is, if you want just a harness that is based on value, not ...(mom taught me "If you don't anything nice...")
then go ahead & purchase one. You can talk to me about this in private, so not to step on any toes.
My guess that your hazzard switch is pulled, but the relay is not making the lights flash. When you apply the brakes with the hazzards on, it overrides the flash, and your indicator lights stay lit up until you let off the brakes, then they go back to flashing like normal. Replace your two flasher relays (the silver dome thingies) and check for power. One spade will have 12V going to it when the turn signal/hazzards are on. Also, with a test light, check your fuses for continuity, and power on both sides of the fuse. I recently dealt with a truck that had good fuses, but rusted and corroded terminals. I had to use a dremel to polish the junk off, and replace the fuses for the lights to start working again.
Keep it simple, chances are good that you do not need a new harness.
