i have a leavling add a leaf and 35's but i want to put her higher now. what is the best way to do it. can i do blocks or s a full suspension better. i just want her higher. im not sure whether to go 4inn or 6in any advice
i dont recommend lifting it with blocks in the rear ( Axle wrap ). i know its a cheaper way to do it but all new leaf springs is a better idea, or if you have the money convert it to a four link design in the front, itll ride much smoother. mines lifted 6in and has 38in tires on 20in wheels.
You can do blocks but ONLY on the rear axle. Tons of different options out there. For 4" or 6" you're probably looking at either new front springs and rear blocks (less expensive) or 4 new springs (more $ but the better way to go). And generally I don't think you want to go over 6" with blocks. I'm sure our lift guru DCSpecial will be along before too long with more advice.
The pro comp kit is the cheapest one that is all spring lift. Thats what i have and im really happy with it, i dont get any axle wrap at all. Its actually not that much more than a kit with just blocks in the back.
i thought that if i just do springs in the front that eventually they will sag abit then my truck will be sittin lower in the front because of the blocks in the back
I lifted a 99 F250 with an all spring 8" lift. It sat pretty and was very durable but would rip out your kidneys on a rough road. My 00 has a 6" block lift and it rides beautifully. I can smoke 40" tires and I don't get any axle wrap. I'm considering traction/ladder bars if my new tires cause any wrap, but I haven't experienced any yet.
I dont like the idea of anything more then a 4" block in the rear... Plus once you go 6" you can see everything under your truck and i think it looks bad with 6" of block... Plus axle wrap can be an issue... As for the front you have to also consider you steering angles once you go beyond a leveling kit. So what ever you end up doing you need to make sure you get the proper drop bracket for your steer arm...
I like both of your trucks.......you have SIDEWALLS on the tires, not the big *** wagon wheels that have become so popular lately, I like!
Thanks Man! I sold the red one to buy the black one. F250 was on 17s and the F350 is on 16s.

I'm a fan of blocks now that I've been able to compare them equally. I don't know who or how people are getting axle wrap, but if I can spin 40x14" tires w/o wrap... something is wrong there.
Give me a little (day or two) bit, I can show you a video of an OBS with some axle wrap. I know your bouncing had nothing to do with the tires, you would feel it more with a heavy load. I'm running with 35x12.50x18, needed some stiffness with the camper. Of course, 6" lift-blocks A friend of mine is has 42s and still hauls a camper.
