High Boy???

I'll tell you right now that I don't know know much about trucks. What I do know is that I saw some pics of a 1977 F250 High Boy that looked sweet. I gather by the name that the truck sits higher than what was "standard". Also because the guy was running 35" tires with plenty of room to spare and said that there was no lift on the truck. The suspension/tire size on this truck looks just like what I'm looking for. Now for the questions. Can I get this "look" with a '79 F150 4X4. Meaning how much lift do I need.

Thanks for your help and please excuse my ignorance,
Claymore

Hi, and welcome to FTE. You should be able to get the look you want with 4" of lift. 33" tires fit fine on a stock 79 4x4. I ran 36" Swampers on my 79 with 4" of lift and it looked great. had plenty of clearance and the tires would only touch the fenders if I were really going through some rough terrain at high speeds.
