Bill - Parts help please
I purchased two new tanks for this 1986 150 4x4 5.0 EFI and two new in tank pumps. I also got the Little pressure valve or what ever they are. They told me the rubber grommet for the Valve which is located in the middle on top of the tank is not available.
I bought the tanks and pumps from Autozone.
I got the valve from a dealer. Where am I going to find the grommet or do I need to Retro fit it so to speak? I hope the parts man at the dealer was being stupid and this part is available. I would love to clamp down on that little smart mouth kids ****.

Many dealers parts guys today are not parts guys at all, they're computer certified techs and are DUMB as a rock when it comes to actually using a parts catalog.
You don't need to know squat on the newer stuff, because all that's needed is the vehicles VIN and when it's typed into the system, the part numbers come right up.
There no more need to memorize part numbers when the computer does it all for you.
With older stuff, that doesn't apply, so these beetle-brained pinheads are lost, and just shine you on!
btw: If parts are still available, where do you think LMC is getting them from?
They're buying them locally, from a Ford dealer at a discount.
