Air-water intercoolers

Greetings yall!
I need to fab up some custom sized air to water intercoolers. Does anybody have any experience with this? I'm thinking of either picking up some cores, cutting and welding them together. . . or any other options. Lets see what we can come up with. Thanks guys.

This isnt for a street driven vehicle, moreso a race car correct?
