You definately need to replace it. ALSO MAKE SURE IT DIDN'T DILUTE YOUR OIL WITH DIESEL. Usually when they squirt on the outside there wont be any in the oil .
Napa should have them.

It would be overfull and have a fuel smell to it.
You can t ake a paper towel and put a drop of oil off of your dipstick on it if it has fuel in it there will be two rings it will seperate on the paper towel.

Fuel Pump

Yes your fuel pump needs replacing.

Don't worry if the lever on the new pump is not the same as the old. The factory pump were upgraded along the way with a new lever, just follow the instructions that come with your replacement pumps. Usually there is a little sheet that shows you the difference between the pumps in the box.

Glad you found your leak. These things can be tricky to find sometimes. The pump on my dads truck would only leak when you reved up the engine so you would never see it leak when you were under the hood with the engine idling.

Seb...

IT possibly could cause a loss of power if it was pushing fuel out on the up stroke it could pull in air on the down stroke.

heck i would have put an electric thats what i did on mine after i had air in the lines from running the tank dry.i bled mine by taking the fuel line off the other side of the far side of the filter and draining it into a jug with a cut up pop bottle.i used a remote starter switch on the solenoid on the fender.make sure you have a full charge on the batteries.you can also pull the core out of the schrader valve on the fuel filter housing.(the valve stem lookin thing) and wait til you get no air out of it and put the core back in
